Bot-based instructions

Another method is available that is not as easy to use, but can be done without leaving Telegram.

1. Join one of the Telegram groups associated with the domain you want
2. Run /bluesky to see which domain names you have access to
3. Navigate to Change Handle in Bluesky Social
4. Choose "I have my own domain"
5. Copy the value of did
6. Run /bluesky domain did, substituting domain and did
7. Wait a few minutes

Woohoo! You can now set your Bluesky handle to your Telegram username, followed by the domain you picked.

Extending the system

To add a domain name to the system, send the domain name, the name of the domain registrar, and any needed API keys to Lilia Roo, who maintains the system.

The system currently handles DNS records set up through Cloudflare, Namecheap, and Name.com, but it is designed to easily add support for other services.
